Are your prices high enough?
At $500k+ in revenue, you’ve likely built a strong brand. Here’s how to use that to your advantage and find out if you’re leaving money on the table.
How to Know If You’re Charging Enough — Pricing Strategy for Established Businesses
To get to this level of revenue, you’ve built something real. A customer base, a reputation, a brand that people recognise. That has value — and it means you can charge more than a business that’s just starting out.
The question is whether you’re actually doing that.
Find the tension in your sales process
The best way to know if your prices are too low is to raise them until you start getting pushback. If every single prospect says yes without hesitation, you’re probably undercharging. Some rejection in your sales process is a sign that your pricing is in the right zone.
Track your conversion rate — the percentage of leads you’re converting to sales. If it’s very high, that’s often a sign there’s room to move on price.
Why this matters
Higher prices mean more Gross Profit per sale. That profit can be reinvested into the business, used to hire better people, or simply improve your margins. Brands in every industry sell essentially the same product at different prices. The ones that charge more usually have stronger brands — and you’ve been building yours.
Review your prices regularly. Don’t wait until the end of the year to think about this.
